Who We Are
The RE Store is dedicated to being a community leader in recycling and promoting a green, sustainable culture. Our RE Store is an award winning reuse center that features a Revision Division woodworking shop and our knowledgeable Salvage Services team. Together we offer affordable used building materials, home decor, hand-crafted furniture and home furnishings from reclaimed materials, skill-building workshops, and a job training program for displaced workers.
What We Do
The RE Store was founded by the environmental nonprofit RE Sources in 1993 to address the growing problem of wasteful disposal of useable building materials. Our Bellingham store offers a practical alternative to dumping building materials into landfills. Since 1993, our community has donated nearly 50 million pounds of building materials to The RE Store. If you combined all of the lumber, doors, lighting, windows, and more that you’ve saved, we could construct nearly 600 homes, roughly half the size of the York Neighborhood here in Bellingham.
