Volunteer: Board Member

We are looking for committed and passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors.  The Board members provide oversight of The Arc’s programs and are representatives of The Arc in the community.  Each director is elected for a two year term and is expected to attend monthly meetings and give of their time in other ways.  Board meetings are usually the fourth Wednesday of every month except August.

Work in support of information and education programs for families of individuals with developmental disabilities. Research, organize, develop, and distribute resource information in printed, electronic, web, and social media formats. Assist with workshop and event preparation, outreach, presentations, grant research, reporting, record keeping, data entry, organization, and management of client data. Responsibilities can be tailored to the strengths and interests of the volunteer or intern. Minimum three month commitment, 5-15 hours/week. Availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays is preferred.
