Interested in fostering, but not ready to foster a child full-time?  Youthnet is currently searching for individuals or families interested in providing respite care for our foster families.  If you are interested fostering youth for a week or weekend, have an extra bedroom in your home, and live in Skagit, Whatcom, Snohomish, San Juan, or Island County– fantastic! Becoming a respite provider is a great way to gain experience and learn more about therapeutic foster care.

We are looking for people interested in learning about the urgent need to increase therapeutic foster care placements within their community and how they can help. If you are of the belief that communities should take care of some of its most vulnerable youth and are interested in helping, please contact us. If you are interested in becoming a licensed parent, have an extra bedroom in your home, and live in Skagit, Whatcom, Snohomish, or Island County– fantastic! There’s a big need. We would love to meet you. 

One way to become familiar with therapeutic foster care is to start off by providing traditional foster care. Gaining foster care experience and learning more about trauma and behaviors with foster kids with fewer behaviors can be a good way to start. If you are interested in becoming a licensed parent, have an extra bedroom in your home, and live in Skagit, Whatcom, Snohomish, San Juan, or Island County– fantastic!
