Individuals and small groups can make a huge difference by serving for three hours. Volunteers sort and display clothes, household items, toys, books & shoes and tidy the store. Volunteer: Mobile Food Pantry Distribution VolunteerVolunteers are needed on the first Saturday of every month from 9:30am-1:30pm and on the third Friday of each month from 8am-12pm. We have been low on volunteers and really would love some more! These volunteers are the reason that around 250 families in our community have access to healthy food every week! It is a great opportunity for families and groups. We have restructured our distribution process during this time to maintain the health and safety of all of our volunteers and clients who visit the Foothills Food Bank! If you are interested in volunteering with us, we will ensure that you are aware and able to reasonably follow our new health and safety guidelines. BCMP strives to make our setting feel more like a restaurant than a soup kitchen, and much of this depends on our volunteers treating guests with dignity and respect. Volunteers may be doing any of the following activities: preparing food and/or cooking, setting up the dining room, serving beverages, serving food, bussing or resetting tables, washing dishes or pots and pans, assisting in the kitchen, taking down tables and chairs, cleaning up the dining hall and the kitchen areas.
