Who We Are
The Ferndale Food Bank is committed to the mission of distributing food and support to all community members in need, with dignity, respect, and understanding. Single individuals and families can visit once a week for as long as assistance is needed.
What We Do
The Ferndale Food Bank distributes food to community members in Whatcom County. We provide over 62,000 pounds of food each month, partnering with local businesses and community members to do so. We rescue 697,000 pounds of food a year on average from going into landfills and help redistribute it to those experiencing restrictions to food access in our community. We serve just over 2,000 individuals each month on average and feed over 39,000 mouths a year. This work takes over 13,000 volunteer hours a year.
