To achieve our mission, BAAY strives to:
• Teach vocal and instrumental music, theatre, art, and dance techniques.
• Provide educational and performance opportunities to Whatcom County's youth.
• Provide advanced training and performance at professional levels to young people who are very serious about their training.
• Create opportunities for students to serve the local community and the world at large.
• Foster and support respect, cooperation, decision-making, self-discipline, and self-confidence in young people.
What We Do
Founded in 2006, Bellingham Arts Academy for Youth (baay.org) is a nonprofit arts education organization that offers quality instruction in theater, choir, dance, music, and visual arts to youth, ages 5-17. A beloved fixture in Bellingham's thriving arts community, the organization has produced over 100 musicals to date. In addition, BAAY strives to reach new members of the community through its other branch: the BAAY EduArts enrichment program (baay.org/eduarts), which has offered over 20 arts classes per quarter to elementary students throughout Whatcom County.
