Build Community Day is Habitat Whatcom's annual volunteer event focused on strengthening community through home repairs, neighborhood revitalization, and volunteerism. This year's event takes place on Saturday, October 4th, in the Kendall and Maple Falls area. Lead by our construction team, volunteers will complete repairs for low-income homeowners at no cost to them, thanks to the Whatcom Community Foundation's Project Neighborly Grant!
Following a morning of community-building repairs, we will reconvene at the East Whatcom Regional Resource Center for an included lunch and a housing-related forum featuring Whatcom County Council candidates from district 3. We expect the day to wrap up by 2:00.
