Stewards of Children Training
Recognize, prevent, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse
The Volunteer Center of Whatcom County is proud to partner with Brigid Collins Family Support Center in delivering the Stewards of Children training to our community’s volunteers. This 2 and 1/2 hour training is proven to increase awareness of child sexual abuse, improve attitudes about adult responsibility and increase protective behaviors.
Training includes:
- Interactive video and workbook with stories from survivors and professionals who work to end abuse
- 7 Steps to Protecting Our Children, a guide to recognize, prevent and act responsibly to child sexual abuse
- Facilitated discussion on ending abuse and the relevance of these issues within organizations and the workplace
Become a Steward of Children and attend the training
When: Thursday, December 12 from 5:30 – 8:00 pm
Where: Brigid Collins Family Support Center, 1231 N. Garden Street, Bellingham
Cost: $10 for materials (please call or email for scholarship info)
