Location: Bellingham, WA (Hybrid or Remote)
Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per month
Commitment Length: 6 months, with the opportunity to extend

Overview:
KCT is looking for an organized and enthusiastic Volunteer Coordinator to help recruit, engage, and manage volunteers for our conservation and community resilience initiatives. This role is essential in building a strong, engaged volunteer base to support KCT’s mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, onboard, and coordinate volunteers for KCT programs and events.

  • Maintain a database of volunteers and track participation.

  • Communicate regularly with volunteers, providing updates on opportunities and appreciation for their efforts.

  • Assist in planning and hosting events, such as community tabling events, volunteer recruitment opportunities, and team social gatherings.

  • Work with KCT staff to develop training materials and maintain the alignment of volunteer activities with organizational priorities.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Experience in volunteer management, event planning, or community outreach is preferred but not required.

  • Enthusiasm for engaging people in climate action and land stewardship.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
