Volunteer at Lydia Place as a Donation Coordinator! Lydia Place works with families that have experienced homelessness or housing instability. We need your help sorting through donations, designating them to the appropriate locations, and dropping off at various facilities around Bellingham to get these items to the people in our community who need it most!
VOLUNTEER POSITION: DONATION COORDINATOR
POSITION SUMMARY: Sorts Lydia Place donations that we receive at the office and transports them to the appropriate location. Helps maintain order in the storage shed by organizing storage items.
EXPECTATIONS:
- Once per week, 2-3 hours during regular 9-5 business hours.
- Ability to work independently and adapt easily to change.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Transports donations to the appropriate location (i.e. Other office locations, Wise Buys Thrift Store, Wee Ones, Flip, Habitat, Goodwill, etc.)
- Sorts & Organizes donations
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
- Possesses strong organization skills
- Ability to make decisions and work independently
- Can lift boxes of 25lbs or less repeatedly
- Likes to clean
- Has a vehicle that can be used to transport donations
- Valid Driver's License
