Rooted Home Furniture Bank is looking for volunteer Furniture Pickup & Delivery Team Members to help collect donated furniture and deliver essential household items to individuals and families transitioning into stable housing in Whatcom County.
This hands-on role is one of the most direct ways to support our mission. Volunteers help pick up donated furniture from community members, load and unload items, and deliver pieces such as beds, dressers, tables, chairs, lamps, and other home essentials to local households. By helping move these items, volunteers play a direct part in turning empty housing into comfortable, functional homes.
Volunteers should be comfortable lifting 30+ lbs, working as part of a team, and treating donors, clients, homes, and belongings with care and respect. Access to a truck, van, or trailer is helpful but not required. We welcome volunteers who can drive, lift, navigate, organize, or assist as part of a pickup and delivery team.
This is a great opportunity for people who enjoy hands-on service, teamwork, and making an immediate difference in the community. Flexible one-time, occasional, and ongoing volunteer opportunities are available.
