Donor Monitors at Bloodworks NW fill a critical role in the blood collection process by watching donors for potential reaction symptoms following their blood donation. They also provide a critical customer service link in making sure donors are comfortable and provided with snacks and fluids, as well as friendly conversation.
- Observe blood donors for adverse reactions after the donation process.
- Serve refreshments, book advance appointments.
- Maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
- Volunteers should be willing to commit to a minimum of 24 hours in this position, or 6 shifts.
- Training is provided.
