The Community Boating Center (CBC) is seeking a passionate individual to serve as Volunteer Coordinator for the 2020 season.
The CBC Volunteer Coordinator works with the CBC Operations Manager, and is responsible for the following:
- Working with staff to develop volunteer roles that further the CBC's mission, support its programs including social outreach
- Recruiting volunteers for various positions
- Providing positive experiences to CBC volunteers to ensure their volunteering goals are met
- Managing the CBC's volunteer systems, social infrastructure and social events
- Ensuring that the CBC's volunteer needs are met: annual events, tabling opportunities, work parties, daily operations assistance, programs support, etc...
The Volunteer Coordinator will initially work approx. 5 - 10 hours per week as they receive training and begin working with volunteers. The long term schedule will be flexible and will be determined to suit the Coordinator's other obligations and personal schedule, as well as the CBC's needs. Hours will fluctuate based on the seasonal nature of the CBC, and on the needs of annual events.
